Rabbi Daniel Senter
Born in North Bergen, New Jersey, Master Beekeeper Rabbi Daniel Senter descends from a prominent Rabbinic family with roots in New Jersey that began at the turn of the century. Following the family tradition, he spent many years studying in Yeshiva and was ordained as a Rabbi shortly after he graduated college.
Rabbi Senter has always been fascinated by the world around him and how things work. He considers himself a bit of a Renaissance Man. During his years in Yeshiva, he received certification in Milah and Shechita. Some of his other areas of expertise include clock making, automobile restoration, life-guarding, magician, Torah scroll restoration, emergency medical technician, foraging, beekeeping, and homesteading. He always has been involved in community work.
He served on the board of a Yeshiva in North Jersey, and was a member of the Greenway Advisory Board and the Historic Preservation Committee of the Township of Teaneck. As an Emergency Medical Technician, he has served as President of Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Chief of The Bogota First Aid Squad.
Rabbi Senter resides in Teaneck, New Jersey and Woodridge, NY with his wife, 5 children, 4 goats, 12 chickens, 2 donkeys, a pony, and a few million bees.
Eron Bloomgarden is an expert in environmental markets, climate finance, and impact investing. He has over a decade of fund management experience and is also an adjunct professor at the Earth Institute at Columbia University where he was a member of the inaugural faculty of the MSc in Sustainability Management program.
Previously, Eron was Partner at Encourage Capital where he was the Portfolio Manager of the EKO Green Carbon Fund, President of Environmental Markets at Equator LLC, and U.S. Country Director at EcoSecurities, the world’s largest carbon credit company listed on the London Stock Exchange and acquired by JP Morgan. Eron was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Biodiversity and Natural Capital and served on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Markets Association.
In 2018, Eron was a TED Resident in a program which served as an incubator for breakthrough ideas, and gave a TED Talk on valuing and investing in nature. Eron earned an M.P.A. from Columbia University and completed the PLD at Harvard Business School.
